How do I look after the candle?
Before each burn, trim the cooled wick to about 6 mm and remove loose wick trimmings or debris.
For container candles, let the wax melt evenly across the surface on the first burn to help reduce tunnelling. Never burn for more than four hours at a time, even if the wax has not reached the edges. Allow at least two hours to cool before relighting.
Place sculptural candles in a sturdy, heat-resistant holder or tray large enough to catch melting wax. Keep every candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, children, pets and anything flammable.
Never leave a lit candle unattended or move it while the wax is hot. Extinguish it if the flame becomes unusually high or repeatedly flickers. Use a snuffer; never use water.
Stop burning container candles when about 1.3 cm of wax remains. Stop free-standing candles before the flame comes within 5 cm of the holder. Follow any additional instructions supplied with your candle.
Do you take bulk or wedding orders?
Yes. Bulk and occasion orders start at 20 candles. Preparation usually takes 7–10 days, depending on order size. Email occasion@vayustore.space with your quantity and occasion date, or visit Occasions for details.
Why there are air pockets in my candles?
Air pockets (sometimes called "sinkholes" or "frosting") are a completely normal and natural characteristic of hand-poured wax. Because we use high-quality wax, the material naturally expands when heated and contracts slightly as it cools down. If the candle cools at varying speeds—which can happen due to changes in room temperature—small pockets of air can get trapped inside. This can commonly happen during shipping, as packages travel through fluctuating climates and changing temperatures before reaching your doorstep. Please rest assured that this does not affect the quality, burn time, or fragrance of your candle. It is simply a visual hallmark of a truly authentic, hand-poured, artisanal product!
